Snowing today. Went to grocery store last night. I really wasn't too bad as much as the news is making the storm out to be, Had a good sleep last night. Did treadmill this morning for 45 min.
Working remotely is good however it kills off one of life's little pleasures, the snow day. When we were kids we would just could not wait for the gift of January. The snow day. When school was closed be we ran out of the house so fast it would make your head spin. Bundled up in sweaters and jackets and wearing the rubber boots that had the little metal clasps on it we ran to find enough snow to sled on. After digging, sledding and throwing enough snowballs rearrange all the snow that was shoveled we got back to the house exhausted, wet sweaty and cold. Dad would ask about homework. Dad! Couldn't you see it was snowing!
Well it was a hell of a day at the old work from home office. Just a soul crushing day just full of no win scenarios. Getting to end and just vegging in the chair 4 hours later I'm still stress out. I sent a txt to my pal Mike and he send back
Next time you cook something, you can name vegetables after the people you don't like, and then hack them to pieces.
I found carrots to be particularly satisfying when the prick I named them after was, well, a prick.
