We are now at the Quimby House in Bar Harbor. The drive up took about 11 hours. We stopped at LL Bean, mostly to stretch and we found a few items. I was going to buy a new GPS but there was a clot of old guys ogling the model I wanted to look at. It was going to be an hour before I could get a word in edgewise, so we left. We took route 1 north from Freeport it's about 150 or so miles alone the coast. Great views and we stopped for a basket of fried clams. It was just like they said in the NY Times, get them lightly fried by someone who seems to know what is going on.
