We came back early Monday to work on the the kitchen. I filled the holes in the walls and we are going to clean the grease off so that we can paint. The cabinets will be installed Wednesday,

Bullfrogs croaking for 5 days.....

So far we have done 5 days at 5:10 am to take a 2.5 mile walk. It's pretty nice and cool that time of the morning. And the bullfrogs are out in full voice too!

Roofer on the way

Good news roofer will be here tomorrow and will have the roof fixed by the end of the week. Then interior paint soon!

Yesterday the electricians did the majority of the work they needed to do in the kitchen. They now have to come back when the cabinets are installed.

Ready for action

Marilyn and I got the boat ready to sail this weekend. Oil change, overhauled the sea water pump, and adjusted the sails. Now we are ready to take it out for the Memorial day weekend.

We are going to start the walk in the morning 2.5 miles every day.  We're shaping up the house and the boat, we need to sahpe up too!

Tomorrow the electrician is comming to move the outlets in the kitchen. We'll see watts up!

Kitchen renovation

Where to for dinner tonight?

The challenge is, when remodding a kitchen, fixing dinner. When and what to have when all of the tools to fix dinner is sitting in the garage! The local pizza shop is sure to get a winfall.

The kitchen renovation will not be televised......

But it starts today. We haev mostly everything moved out of the kitchen. A few things remain. The dumpster will arrive today and we can start throwing things away. I was hoping to toss most of the dishes away and get new ones when the project is finished.

What were you EGGspecting?

Marilyn and I went down to the boat on Saturday morning. I went to open the companionway hatch to go down to the boat when I saw something unEGGspected. It was an egg. right on the hatch. I guess that some duck crawled under the dodger and found a nice place to lay an egg.

Boat fridge get new parts

The repair guy found the leak on the boat fridge. It's the evaporator. A few days he'll have the part.... and I'll have the bill!  :-0

The contractors will be circling next week. Dumpster, demolition and electrical work in quick succession.  Now I just have to find where the roofers went to!

Solar Charger

Got a neat gadget for Marilyn's car. I got her a Blue Ant bluetooth speaker phone. It does not wire into the car but has batteries and clips on the visor. It works great but you have to charge it every couple of weeks. So I bought a PowerFilm USB + AA solar charger. When you want to charge the handsfree device you lay the solar panel on the dash when you park and plug the Blue ant in. When you come home the battery is charged.

Wind did not die down....

We left the marina and went home the boat was jumping in the slip too violently. I could not do work in the boat or could we get comfortable. We left and when we got home we went out for sushi.

Windy!!

We are at the boat there is 50mph gusts 3ft waves and the boat is
listing 15degs. We are still tied to the dock and it's a little
frightning. We've abandon ship and sitting on the marina porch. We'll
see if the wind dies down in an hour or so.

Went flying tonight

Had about 3 nice flights tonight. Learning split S turns. I did them pretty good. I can't to them in the simulator but in real life, yeah.  Go figure!

Tomorrow we are heading to Rock Hall to work on the boat. Put on sails, oils change, flush water tanks...and so on snd so on......

They were filming a movie across the street from where I work. Someone
spotted Robert DiNiro getting into a car around noon. No idea what
movie it was.

Cabinet Pulls

Marilyn went to the ballet with Meg last night. Meg found Marilyn's iPhone fascinating, must be the leopard skin I put on it!

After dinner tonight we are going to Lowe's to find cabinet pulls for our kitchen. I can't believe all the decisions that have to be made!

Marilyn back home

Went down to the boat and tied it up. The boat fridge is not working again. Looks like it leaks all the refrigerant over the winter. Next weekend we'll get the boat ship shape for the season.

Marilyn made it home last night. All is good!

Good flight today.

Marilyn is in Missouri this weekend to see Emily in a dance competiton. Emily is have a hard time as she has a hurt ankle. But she going like the tropper she is. ( Go Emily!! )

 I went flying this morning. They were rolling the field using a steam roller. It was like a golf green when it was done. I flew three times and landed all three. I took the plane home in one piece! Very much unlinke the last time I flew there.

The marina had dropped Imagination in the water. I'm going down tomorrow to see how it is and tie it up and clean it out.
